We have two file formats available, firstly *.jpg or *.jpeg file which is the main file format used in digital cameras. The other format is *.PDF which we have incorporated for the more experienced user. Please note that the *.PDF file format can not be cropped or manipulated online, nor can it be placed on our image database.

The quality of the print is related to the resolution used when you took your picture, if you are not sure the file size itself is a good indicator. Most cameras will allow you to take high, medium or low quality pictures, we would always recommend your picture be taken with the highest possible resolution. With regard to the file size, our site will indicate if the file uploaded may give possible pixilation (visibly see little squares on the print) and will warn accordingly.

You can right mouse click on the file Icon and scroll down to properties this will then tell you the size in KB (1000bytes) or MB (1000kilobytes). For example a file around 800KB will print to A1 with only small pixilation which would not be visible from a distance. Generally speaking, the higher the file size the better the quality.

Our web site clearly indicates the sort of print quality we will achieve based on your file size. If it indicates you will receive a poor quality print from your uploaded file, we suggest you upload a better image. Due to the individual customisation of your print we cannot offer a refund if the quality is not as good as you hoped for. (see terms and conditions).

Due to your prints being specific to you and as such, personal customisation, we can not cancel the order once your order has been processed, however we do allow you to cancel if we have not processed your order, generally around 2 hours after you receive our email order confirmation, please follow the cancellation instructions on the order confirmation email.

You need not be. We never give out either your personal information (see privacy policy) or use any images sent by you for any other purpose than to fulfil our obligations to print and receive payment.

We have incorporated an online picture database so you may display your work and even earn money out of it if you choose to do so.

No, only if you choose to allow your picture to go online and we authorize it will it be seen by other people, there are clear options on how to do this through the website.

There are two ways you can make money through our site. One is by allowing your image to be printed (by us) as a poster, the other is by allowing your image to be downloaded by other users or you may allow both. The first way keeps you in control of your image and only allows users to make prints of it through Postaposter.com. You may even put a limit on the number of prints produced. The second way is by allowing users a ‘license’ to use your image (see copyright) as they want by downloading it from our site. You must give serious thought if you want your image to be used by other people as this is irreversible although you can delete any images at any time from the library, anyone who has already downloaded them and thus have a license to use them can not be stopped from doing so in the future.

This depends on a variety of factors. The better your image the more likely it is to be printed as a poster or downloaded as an image. It costs £3.99 to download an image and you will receive £2.50. If you choose your image to be used as a poster we will pay you £2.00 for every poster produced. It can be a slow process and like any image database, is unlikely to make you rich, however if your work is good and you build up a decent online portfolio, it could become a steady regular income as many companies are always on the lookout for decent quality images.

You currently may upload any amount of images for sale on our image database, we will however only authorize images of good enough quality, unfortunately we will not be able to explain our reasons if your image/images are not authorized. We are aiming at quality not quantity.
